Aishwarya rai played lead actress opposite Salman Khan in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The movie was a great hit. And, Aishwarya rai and Salman Khan got famous. During the same time, media started taking the advantage and cranking out love affair news of Salman and Aish every other day. That must have proved fatal for Salman.:)
