Raincoat could be said as more of a stage drama than a typical bollywood movie. The film is slow and has a very little room for entertainment for front seaters, but at the same time it is a very well acted by both Aishwarya rai as well as Ajay Devgan, with some very well written dialogues, and could be appreciated by educated mass in general. Aishwarya has been found in a total different role. She didn't do much of makeup. However, Aish acting was much enhanced then her prior films. Good show Aishwarya! I loved her acting.

The story involves the two estranged lovers' tryst on rainy evening. Ajay plays a defeated person who arrives in Kolkata for some work and ends up meeting Aishwarya. It’s about their relationship.

Aishwarya rai was wearing saari through out the movie. She didn't do hair dress up also. Also, Aishwarya didn't use any kind of makeup on her face.

If you have been looking out to watch one of those bollywood movies consisting of some solid acting, Raincoat is a must watch. You would love the acting of Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya. Raincoat could be considered as one of the finest try of Aishwarya rai to act in out of the way movies.
